Chiara has unique qualities that differentiate it from all other audio systems. When you hear recordings with Chiara, you hear details, space, air and harmonics that are often not audible with other systems. This creates a very emotional listening experience, especially with recordings of acoustic instruments and voices. You not only hear more of what the musicians are doing, you hear the space they are in, and fine details that other systems lose.

Visually, Chiara looks very different from what it sounds like. But the look is essential to obtaining the sonic qualities that enable Chiara to redefine what is possible in music reproduction. Chiara’s all new concept, design, technology, and engineering break with the industry assumptions which also includes what a speaker should look like.

Because Chiara is biamplified, the amplifier connections are direct to the tweeter and woofer with no passive crossover parts in the signal path, which eliminates coloration from capacitors, inductors and resistors. Time delay in the Mighty Cat software suite enables electronic time alignment so Chiara performs as a point source, completely coherent, so there is no sense of a separate tweeter and woofer.

Cabinet construction

Chiara’s tweeter enclosure, woofer cabinet and plexiglass stands are built with Perspex, a European made art grade plexiglass with 2.5 the density of wood. Hand made in Italy, Chiara’s cabinetry enables superior performance and stunning appearance with designer options to match the finish to the décor of the listening room.

Maria 800

Mark Levinson personally designed Maria 800 to enable no compromise bi-amplified systems. The Maria 800 can also be operated in bridge mode to deliver 800 watts per channel, 2 channels.
