EverSolo - Play Streaming Amplifier
Eversolo has announced a new streaming amplifier called Play, featuring a 5.5-inch touchscreen that operates similarly to the DMP-A6, A8, and A10 streaming DACs.
Hello, bit-perfect processing of Apple Music’s hi-res streams, software-based FIR room correction, and support for UPnP, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, and Roon Ready.
Eversolo recently revamped the user interface of its devices, simplifying operation across six dimensions: Music Services, Features, Apps, Connectivity, Cloud, and Settings.
The accompanying Play app is designed to mirror and extend the touchscreen interface, with a global search function that pulls from multiple online sources configured by the end user.
The chassis of the Play uses a CNC-machined unibody design made from high-strength aluminum alloy, with the entire base engineered to function as a heatsink.
Under the hood, the DAC circuit is built around an AKM AK4493 chip, delivering a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥109dB and an ultra-low THD of 0.0037%. The Class D speaker output promises 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 110 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
For wired sources, the rear panel includes coaxial and TOSLINK inputs, HDMI ARC, MM/MC phono input, a subwoofer output (with bass management), a USB-A port for USB storage devices, and a USB-A output for connecting to an external DAC.
The Play is available in two editions: a Standard Edition and a CD Edition that includes a built-in Hitachi/LG CD-ROM drive.
