I was already familiar with the MK3, but the new versions of software run a bit more difficult these days. The MK3.5 is very powerful, the software runs like a charm. Tried different options, even Gentoo can handle everything. The sound is certainly as good, I even think it is a bit better. The upgrade mk3 to mk3.5 went very smoothly, I had the device back quickly. Thanks Rob and Jos!

After getting, and still enjoying, the Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE dac a few years ago, I recently bought the Mano Ultra mk3 streamer, and again am very happy with my Magna Hifi purchase. Great sound for the buck and as always super service from Rob. For both purchases went to listen at their studio, for a great afternoon and professional advice. (before I used a Mac Mini M1 with Audirvana)

I found that the Mano Ultra mkIII sounded clearly better. It had larger more three-dimensional soundstage, instruments had more natural and fuller sound with more overtones, especially acoustical instruments and voices. My streamer was powered up for 15 hours before comparing the two.

2nd assessment: I strongly encourage mano processors to install a Diretta protocol system. Sound quality takes a leap forward into a whole new dimension, and there's no going back. I've never before heard a dematerialised sound source so natural and engaging, and the quality/price ratio is outstanding. (You'll need to pay €300 for a minipc and the gentooplayer licence, but Diretta is free if you use CD quality).

I'm still running in my Mano MkIII + Farad combo in a rather high quality system (full Audio Note UK, Level 3 system) and the Mano MkIII beats all my previous streamers (Sonore OpticalRendu, Meridian MS600, Bricasti M5 and even an older TotalDAC d-1), so I'm very happy. The price/performance ratio is great and the sound quality on its own right is amazing - regardless of cost...it's very transparent, dynamic and lifelike. Rob gave me lots of information over the phone and Jos has been extremely helpful setting up the GentooPlayer software - he literally spent a couple of hours helping me - my network is a bit tricky. So 5* to both the Mano streamer and Rob & Jos for their amazing support!

The Magna Mano ULTRA mkIII.5 Farad is a completely amazing streamer which defines a truly perfect high-end source. The music realism is stunning where the instruments and voices are authentic, rich, detailed and balanced, exactly timed and perfectly positioned in the soundscape. Imagine going from listening to an imitated image of a guitar or a piano to a high-resolving natural and organic rendering of the real instruments. That’s the essence of my magic Magna Mano experience! The Mano ULTRA mkIII.5 Farad should definitely be on your streamer shortlist, even if you are aiming for the top tier models from the most respectable manufacturers.

Been listening to the Mano Ultra mk3 with Gustard R26 for about 1.5 weeks now. What a huge difference! I really didn't expect such a huge improvement in the sound. It sounds much tighter, more detailed, deeper (3D) and more layered. I'm still surprised about it. In other words, I'm very happy with it! Thank you very much! Also for adjusting the I2s setting for the Gustard dac.

Mano ULTRA mk3.5 and Holo Adio Cyan 2 DAC are a huge step forward in my setup. Setup of the streamer was easy and straightforward. The placement of voices and instruments is precise, the spatiality wide and deep and the background dark and calm - it blows my mind and I'm deeply impressed. So thanks for these two great devices.

Mano streamer mk3 is amazing, it’s one step ahead my previous Mano mk2. I love this products and the I2S output matches with my AG R7 dac. The sound is as good as expected. As usual the team is there for helping me to solve some configuration issue, thanks.

Great Sound: I replaced my Bluesound Node with a Mano Ultra +Farad 3 streamer. Mine is highly optioned out (having those choices is something I also appreciate). Honestly, I would not have thought a streamer could make such a contribution to my overall sound quality but it's clearly a step forward. Everything I stream (via Tidal Connect) sounds much cleaner, quieter and more detailed. Am now a big believer in the benefits of a separate linear power supply. I'd note their Level 2 silver cable works really well in a system like mine, which already has plenty of warmth. Overall, just a little jewel of an audio component. And also a shout out to Jos, one of the owners who was super responsive to my questions re: software choices. Just a great product from a really well run company. Highly recommended.

I am very much satisfied with this combo. Rob was very helpful in configuring my sd card with Gentoo player. I configured also Ropiee SD myself & both work fine. I cannot say now which software is better. I had a doubt if Mano will function with my Gustard DAC on i2S output. But it functions without problem. Thanks to Magna team.

Got my new streamer today and wow what a difference. My system has never sounded this good before. Using i2s connection to my gustard r26 dac, and it sounds amazing. New details, depths, dynamic range and a lowered noise floor. Enjoying registering and discovering new musical facets in music that I am very familiar with.

MANO ULTRA Mk III with FARAD Super3 LPSU streamer vs. Bluesound NODE (N130) streamer: I have for some weeks tested MANO ULTRA Mk III with FARAD Super3 LPSU streamer vs. Bluesound NODE (N130) streamer via I2S HDMI-LVDS output to my HoloAudio Spring 3 DAC (level 2). The MANO has lifted the soundstage 1-2 levels higher than the NODE. The sound textures are quite awesome with good separations between instruments ec. when playing London Grammar – music number: Hey Now or Strong or playing Agnes Obel – music number: Aventine or The Curse. The tempo, melodic and harmonic in the instruments are combined very separated and very clear and open in the heights up and down in the sound specter and in the wideness too, compared to the soundstage of the NODE. There are not huge differences, but it is very easy to hear the differences, wen switching between the 2 streamers playing the same music piece. The MANO Ultra III/ FARAD is worth every penny and even more.

Nach einer Stunde Spielzeit habe ich beschlossen, dass es nicht notwendig ist, Auralic Aries 1.1 einzuschalten, weil es keinen Vergleich gibt. Ich ging weiter und dachte, ich würde einen Test mit dem T1 Lumin vs Mano MKiii verdienen, mir ging der Auralic aus und Lumin verkauft 😀. Was mich betrifft, das beste Streaming, das ich bisher hatte. Danke Magna 🙏Ich habe natürlich alle möglichen Extras gekauft und ich bereue keinen Cent.

Salut, Premier retour sur ce streamer après une semaine de rodage et de tests. Après avoir testé Moode puis ropeee, je suis passé à gentooplayer, c’est de loin la meilleure solution, le rendu est remarquable. Mon Holo red est déjà revendu et mon wattson digital ne peut pas suivre malgré son homogénéité. Le Mano va plus loin : plus le signal est complexe, plus il creuse l’écart. Il y a plus de détails, tout reste toujours en place, le grave est plus défini et profond, les voix sont plus denses, les aigus jamais stridents comme parfois avec le red, mais surtout, le message n’est jamais analytique, la musique est toujours fluide et cohérente, engageante. Une grande source à prix raisonnable, merci! Bonus : la liaison i2s par câble HDMI Audioquest du site magna avec mon dac Extraudio est au moins aussi bonne voire meilleure qu’en aes avec un câble numérique Jorma design a 1200€…

Set up was a breeze. Roon recognized the unit immediately, in two versions ASLA and Airplay. What strikes me immediately is the “musical insight” created from the tonal and harmonic properties the Mano reproduces, set within an acoustic field that is deep and wide. Metaphors come to mind such as ‘fullness’, ‘body’, ‘naturalness’. The musical insight carries over to rhythm, just the right forward movement. The tone overall is warmish, appealing, devoid of digital glare. (As I write I am listening to S. Richter playing the Eroica Variations - full-throated piano tone!) The power cable no doubt contributes to the overall effect. I am impressed … and know for sure that I have received a musical gift.

I purchased the Mano-Ultra Mk-lll about 3 months ago, as the new PS DirectSteam Mk-ll does not have the network bridge as the DS-1 The Mano-Ultra Mk-lll is simply an outstanding music streamer…it out performed the install network bridge in the DS-1 in transparency, resolution, and sound stage depth and width In fact playing a track on the PS Audio DirectStream Memory Player Mk-Il, then switching to the same track on Qobuz through the Mano-Ultra Mk-lll is almost impossible to tell the difference..it’s that great I am using I2S connection, but I installed a custom made 110 ohm digital cable made from Mogami AES-EBU Cable and difference is hard to hear… If have the knowledge the Mano-Ultra Mk-lll can be set up for YouTube as an app to be controlled by the Mano-Ultra Mk-lll same as Qobuz or Tidal bypassing AIRPLAY… The Guys at Magna HiFi are great for technical support…Rob especially help me understand how to setup the Mano-Ultra Mk-lll THE MANO-ULTRA MK-lll is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Just a few words about Mano and the pleasures of good audio. The streamer has been performing flawlessly. In addition, I discovered that a better Ethernet cable considerably improves the audio. I changed from a generic something or other to a Cat 6 - my, what an uptick in sound quality. Hope you are well and thriving … and enjoying the music!

The DAC arrived some days ago . First parcel/outside box was a bit banged up but all is hooked up now and runs flawlessly. I must say first impressions trump my expectations/hopes by "quite a margin"!

Exceptional thing. I have ifi zen signature v2 and hegel 190... This is entirely different category, even without 250 hours of warm up. The decay notes and the absolute bass control and sounding musical...It has everything a non top end audiophile dream of. It has enaugh energy not to get you tired for hours, but keep you stuck on the speakers. I love it!

I started to follow reviews about R2R DAC, I knew about this principle from recent years, I knew that the proof and prices are performant, as an aside, DACs with SIGMA-DELTA, have unbeatable and affordable technical characteristics for the consumption of the common man, but in my opinion, here I am subjective, it does not sound as I want, the ROHM MUS-IC BD34301EKV32 Bit Stereo chip in my DAC SMSL D300 really does it, But my ears, my brain wants perfection. I've been watching HOLO Audio May, HOLO Audio Spring 3 for a while, I damn like how they are executed, the Trick principle used to encode and decode, Yes, I would need that, but my financial possibilities are exceeded. I saw in passing Holo Audio Cyan 2, acceptable as price for me, at the moment I went over it quite easily, it seemed too simplistic, I was one click away to order a Gustard R26 from a French site where I have an account. Chance, or curiosity makes me watch on Youtube a video Holo Audio Cyan 2, presented by Mr. Hans Beekhuyzen, a reliable engineer, for whom I have every respect. I saw how it is executed inside, I saw what technical characteristics it presents, I followed with interest the opinion of a specialist and YES! My light bulbs went on, my 6th sense that works for me, gave me the urge to order it, that he is solving my claims with Analog music and I was not wrong, the second choice of DAC, very, very inspired! I let it wear and I can tell you without fail, that it is the perfect choice, I really hear Analog music, UPS! :) . On PCM music files, compared to SMSL D300, it's a bit higher, bass with more depth, just as soft, soft, pleasant. The voice seems a little bit forward, but with a more holographic presence, with more texture. Highs sound beautiful, clear, crystal sound, it was expected, my flair did not deceive me. The big surprise came when listening to DSD64, DSD128, DSD256 files. I used the "Audiophile Hi-RES System Test-DSD128 " album for comparison. A deep, deep, powerful but soft bass at the same time. A perfect spatial separation, you close your eyes and feel the position of the musical instruments. You feel your voice in front of you, you feel every sound, every movement, you feel how space fills up, how music pours throughout the room, giving the feeling of holographic music. Here I can say that it has exceeded very, very much the possibilities of SMSL D300. I pulled myself out, completed the realization of the system as I wanted. Holo Audio Cyan 2 receives signal via USB and I connected it via XLR to SMSL H300 AMP-PRE. The Coaxial input receives signal from GEERFAB D.BOB when listening to SACD CD, or watching a Blue-ray show on Smart TV. Holo Audio Cyan 2 is a success of Holo Audio, an excellent price/quality ratio. It looks good, simple but with some enviable performance. The switch is done automatically when it senses signal on one of the inputs. The priority is the USB input, for those who use multiple inputs, the inputs that are not used at that time must be disabled. Now I want to say a few words about the Magna Hifi team. A team of specialists in the field, with a pleasant practice in communication, honest and with a lot of expertise in this field. I highly recommend purchases from this Magna Hifi online store.

High resolving DAC for the fraction of the price! This DAC preforms almost like an true endgame DAC. The body of the sound this dac makes is verry rich in detail and accurate. Spacial presentation is really good and if you use DSD the soundstage becomes even bigger and you get even more detail retrieval! You won't be needing any replacement for the coming years if you buy this DAC. Oversampling is really good on this DAC. Its also compatible with ASIO driver from holoaudio. Im verry impressed with th sound of the DAC.

I have the Cyan 2 for several weeks - it's nice sounding dac I'm enjoying it.
