This little heavy brick of a dac is a gemstone for music lovers. No matter if feeded with 16/44.1 PCM or SOX upsampled or Hqplayer DSD : the Cyan 2 plays far beyond its pricepoint. Order process at Magna Hifi was straight ahead, shipping and delivery as fast as possible. All in all a very smooth transaction. Thank you very much Magna Hifi, highly recommended!

Now I was finally able to send DSD 1024 over USB (via an NAA) to the Holo Cyan 2. The burn in time is essential indeed. After 300 hours the sound became just great.

The standard for the preamp I was looking for was very high. I had previously tried six units ranging from €3,500 to €12,500. Only the Audio-GD - HE1 MK3 provided the hoped-for match. It delivers everything I was looking for: a soundstage in all dimensions. A great openness of the soundstage. Micro-details as well as the inner cohesion of the music. Excellent timing. The low end where it belongs with perfect intensity. The highs without any nerves or harshness, yet crystal clear. And yes, the 250 hours of burn-in are necessary, but they lead to a very high level of satisfaction. And finally, the service from Jos and Rob is perfect. Thank you very much. This device has a very extensive connectivity and possibilities and can be operated with an optional remote control. The downloadable app is user-friendly, the sound reproduction is spacious and accurate. Very satisfied with this purchase and advice from Rob.

Really nice switch, this SS-1 PRO. Just a bit better than the standard SS-1 version. I’ve tried both. Since I have an external 10MHz clock, I went for the PRO. No regrets, and I even got a small discount at this shop when combined with the Matrix NT-1. Still, 4 stars because it’s quite pricey for a network switch.

As mentioned in my other review of the SS-1 PRO Switch: an incredibly powerful combination of streamer and network switch. The streamer is absolutely amazing—great to look at, radiates quality, and sounds fantastic. Beautiful products from Matrix and excellent support from the team at Magna.

The TT-1 with the external Farad Super3 PSU sounds unbelievably good. I'm using it in combination with my Holo Audio May KTE DAC via I2S. The advice was to turn off PLL, and that turned out to be great advice. I compared both settings, but with PLL off, it sounds more relaxed and has a more natural timbre. 5 stars for the Matrix TT-1!

After a listening session at Magna Hifi and a comparison with my own streamer, I surprisingly ended up choosing the Matrix TT-1 streamer. I initially wanted the Element-S, but the TT-1 was such an upgrade! Compared to the Red and my own (more expensive) streamer, it came out on top. At home, the difference was even bigger. Very happy with it!

From my self-modified switch to this Matrix SS-1. Unbelievable! Smoother and much more relaxed. The advice is to use the SFP ports as well—I still need to do that. Can't wait!

I didn’t expect this. Magna Hifi had already mentioned it, but I was skeptical. It’s truly refreshing to complete the final step in my setup. You wouldn’t expect it, but it still happens…

I am very happy with the sound quality and design. Once broken in, the unit really came alive. 

The SingXer SU-2 came yesterday, as promised 👍 I followed your advices about the settings and finally replaced my good ol' SingXer F1 , linked them together with my ol' Denafrips Ares 2 , to give it a try. And that was pretty awesome out of the box ! After a 24 hour burn-in session , I plugged it to my Pontus 2 with dip-switch settings on SU-2 on PsAudio mode , did nothing on DAC setting ...and it worked fine since 😀👍 I'm using a 0.6m AudioQuest Cinnamon G48 HDMI for the connection. My source is a modified Intel NUC i7 running JRiver as player, Tidal Hifi for streaming , all this on HDplex linear PSU. Sure this new DDC will improve, again, my set-up.

Hello everyone, I had promised Jos ;). Here is my current conclusion about my HoloAudio experience. I ordered the HoloAudio RED and a HoloAudio Cyan2 at the end of October 2024. As expected, the advice, communication (thanks Jos), shipping and service were top notch. Many thanks to the wonderful team at MagnaHifi! HoloAudio! The devices are currently being hyped. What is my opinion? I am fully on board and love both devices! HoloAudio RED: I use it exclusively as a network bridge (ROON). I have integrated the chic, extremely solid little box into my network, booted it up, configured ROON (very easy). Since day one, the thing has been streaming absolutely stably. Not a single interruption, no lag, no reboot, (24/7 since the first start) TOP! With a network streamer, it's hard to say whether it has a significant impact on sound quality. What I can say, compared to my previous streamer. It streams absolutely reliably (currently ~300 hours of listening time) with zero background noise. I repeat: ZERO! ‘Pitch-black’ night. The Cyan2: A dream in my current audio chain (RED -> ROON Core @ dsd256 -> TA20Plus NOS Tube -> ZMF Atrium open). I won't get lost in long descriptions of the sound impression. Just this much. It is absolute pleasure. Currently, my rabbit hole seems to have come to an end. BUT, such HoloAudio bliss would still be interesting....sigh ;) Conclusion: I give both HoloAudio devices my absolute buy recommendation! Best regards, Peter

These monos exceeded my expectations, that given the reviews I saw only where already quite high. They are muscular, steady, detailed and refined. The bass i very controlled but not overdamped. I'm really 100% satisfied and in love with them, since they where exactly what my system was missing. They make everything I throw at them quite enjoyable. I previously had class D amp, and also a Benchmark AHB2 but I've never been this satisfied and engaged with my music. They don't look too bad either. My speakers are 4Ohms with 89db sensitivity and quite current hungry (Qualio IQ). My current frontend is of high quality (both digital and analog) and these 2 amps, even if comparatevily cheaper are at perfect ease. Grab a pair! Was my first time dealing with Magna Hifi and it was an absolute pleasing experience. It took 5 working days from order to delivery in the UK.

I own Eversolo DMP-A6 and wanted to improve the sound bypassing internal DAC, so i bought few months ago Holo Audio Cyan 2 from Jos and Rob. It was a great improvement, but i eventually wanted to "squeeze" even more out of my system. So i've decided to add SINGXER SU-6 in my chain, USB in from DMP-A6 ,I2S out to Cyan 2. It is another step up in sound, actually bigger than expected. The sound is now more relaxed and precise with bigger soundstage and for me personally money worth spent (this feeds into my Cayin KT88 tube amplifier and Dali Epicon 2, running Roon with wonderful HAF room correction by Thierry). Now of course i'm wondering how much better it would be to replace DMP-A6 and SU-6 with an high end transport i2S out (like Mano ULTRA mkIII.5 Farad), but for now i'll settle with this combo until audiophile bug bites me again. If you own a low-mid tier streamer with USB out only and very good external DAC with i2S input, adding SU-6 should be on your radar, as well. It's a wonderfull sound improvement. And Magna Hi-Fi's service was flawless, as usual. Thank you Jos and Rob!

I bought 2 of them Furutech Cables. They do extremely well with my Network/Streaming Devices combined with external linear power supplies! A real Improvment! Thak You Jos!

My old Netgear Switch improved so impressive from this Power Supply (with SR Pink fuse, Silver DC Cable and Farad AC Mains Cable) thus suddenly MP3 Streaming becomes a real alternative to High Res. Meanwhile I replaced it with  a SoTM Highend Switch (which I bought also from Jos from Magna Hifi) anyway!

Der May läuft jetzt seit ca. 3 Wochen bei mir. Er braucht definitiv Zeit, (wie von Euch angemerkt ca. 250 Std.) um sich einzuspielen. Die Entwicklung in dieser Zeit ist aber schon bemerkenswert! Zu Beginn war für mein Empfinden der Klang nicht besonders breit, auch die Tiefe war eher gering. Nach 2 wochen Im NOS Mode sind die Klangfülle meines Erachtens am natürlichsten. Die Klangbühne ist breit u. Tief wie ich es mir gewünscht habe. Der Mode OS DSD spielt wie alle anderen in selbiger Lautstärke, mit einem ebenfalls weiten u. Breiten Klangbild. Jedenfalls ein faszinierendes Gerät, was hierbleiben darf.

The Holo May DAC is amazing every detail in the music mix is in sharp focus and the presentation of the music is very musical. The Holo May DAC is the most important upgrade I made, with regards to sound reproduction produced by my system.
