Audio-GD Current Signal System (ACSS)

About ACSS – Audio-GD’s Proprietary Current Signal System

ACSS (Audio-GD Current Signal System) is Audio-GD’s proprietary implementation of Current Conveyor Technology, a design approach that transmits audio signals in the current domain rather than the traditional voltage domain. This method significantly reduces coloration, improves detail retrieval, and delivers a highly neutral and natural sound.

Similar technologies are found in other high-end brands: KRELL refers to it as CAST (Current Audio Signal Transmission), while certain Japanese manufacturers call their version SATRI. Although the principle behind these systems is shared, each company’s circuit design is unique.

Audio-GD extends ACSS not only to the analog domain but also into the digital domain, integrating it in their transports and digital converters for consistent performance across the entire signal path. This seamless integration ensures maximum transparency and accuracy from source to amplification.

Importantly, Audio-GD ACSS products are compatible with KRELL CAST and SATRI systems when used with the appropriate adapter cables and connectors, allowing enthusiasts to integrate different components while maintaining the benefits of current-mode transmission.
